Oxford Botanic Garden and Arboretum have partnered with Google Arts & Culture to create an exciting online site filled with online exhibits, collection images, Street View and more of the Garden and Arboretum.
This newly-launched platform allows users to wander through the world’s most threatened trees with Google Street View, unearth botanical treasures and discover more about behind-the-scenes research, all from the comfort of your home.
Thanks to Google Arts & Culture’s large international audience more people around the world will be able to access Britain’s oldest botanic garden and Harcourt Arboretum and the incredible resource they hold for research, education and conservation, helping them to inspire a new generation of botanists.
A first for the Gardens, Libraries and Museums, funding is currently being sought to develop a similar resource for each of the GLAM sites.
