Entrance charges

Charges may apply for some of our talks, workshops and for special exhibitions at the Ashmolean.

There is an admission charge for adults visiting the Botanic Garden & Arboretum; children under 16 go free.

Guided and self-guided tours are available of the Old Bodleian Library.

The University of Oxford's Gardens, Libraries and Museums are open to the public, providing broad access to the internationally significant collections held by the University as well as to the research and academic activity happening across the University.

Each year the Gardens, Libraries and Museums welcome over 3 million members of the public through their doors to see the permanent collections, attend special exhibitions and take part in a creative programme of events and activities including tours, talks, late-night openings, performances, family friendly events, behind-the-scenes activities, outreach events and volunteering opportunities.
