New GLAM Registrar and Chief Operating Officer appointed

We are delighted to announce that Dr Lindsay Rudge will take up the role of Divisional Registrar and Chief Operating Officer for the Gardens, Libraries & Museums from 1 February 2024.  

Lindsay is currently Interim Chief Operating Officer at the Bodleian Libraries, so is already very familiar with the GLAM Division.  Prior to this she spent five years as Head of Education Policy and Planning in the Social Sciences Division where she was responsible for leading planning and policy across this very large division of 15 schools and departments.   

Dr Lindsay Rudge

Lindsay brings valuable expertise of senior leadership in higher education and a breadth of experience of Oxford University. She has worked across a number of Divisions, as Head of Administration and Finance (HAF) in the Oxford Department of International Development and the Faculties of Classics, English and Linguistics. She has also held roles in the Humanities Division office, as Undergraduate Studies Officer and Research Facilitator.

We have world class museums, libraries and gardens in GLAM and I have seen first-hand the value they bring to the University.  I am looking forward to working with colleagues across GLAM at this exciting time.”

Lynne Hirsch will continue to provide the Division with expert support as interim Divisional Registrar until the end of January 2024.
