Venue Hire

Randolf Sculpture Gallery, Ashmolean; Divinity School, Bodleian; Behind the scenes, Ashmolean

Exchange vows surrounded by the Old Masters, share a drink under the dinosaurs or treat your conference delegates to behind the scenes tours of the collections - we offer unique and stunning venues for conferences, corporate events, gala dinners and weddings.

Location

Located in the heart of historic Oxford just 60 miles from central London, the University of Oxford was founded in the 11th Century and is the oldest English-speaking University in the world. The Gardens, Libraries and Museums, centres for teaching of philosophy and science in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries, offer visitors both a taste of historic Oxford, and the chance to get behind the scenes of the modern university.

Planning an Event

From conferences, drinks receptions and dinners to breakfast meetings, tours and private views, work with our events teams to tailor your event to your needs. Combine your events with an exhibition visit, guided tour or gifts from our museum shops.

Weddings

Most of our venues are licensed for weddings and civil partnerships and offer a spectacular backdrop for your big day. Our experienced teams provide a friendly and personal service and are dedicated to ensuring your special day suits your budget and tastes.

Filming

Our gallery spaces and unique places provide incredible film locations. We welcome film and photographic crews of all sizes and as well as offering amazing sets, we can provide access to the collections behind the scenes, and our specialists are sometimes available to share their expertise in an interview or as consultants.

Due to the historic nature of our sites, the fragility of some of our collections, and the fact that each are working departments, there are operational constraints relating to using our venues. Please give us as much notice as possible.
