The community outreach service can help your community group make the most of a trip to the museums. Whether you are visiting for the first time or are regular visitors, we can provide a fun and friendly session to ensure that your group has a worthwhile and positive experience.
We can provide general tours of each of the University museums and collections. We can also highlight areas of each museum that might be of particular interest to your group.
Object handling and/or craft activities can also be arranged.
As with the outreach sessions, we have developed tours for specific groups with their particular needs in mind. Groups we have developed sessions for include:
- Family Learning (including literacy and numeracy based sessions)
- ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages)
- Adults with Learning Disabilities
- Blind or Partially Sighted People
