Tom is responsible for the University museums’ Collections Teaching & Research Centre – a new facility which will open in 2024, transforming access to the museum collections with a particular focus on interdisciplinary research, cross-collections teaching and academic engagement. He is the museum collections lead for the Collections Storage Facility, a project which from 2026 will bring the remainder of the museums’ stored collections into new accessible bespoke storage. He also oversees the GLAM Collections Move Programme, working with the GLAM Collections Move Project Manager, Moves team and the museums to bring together millions of objects from the University’s collections and house them in the two new facilities.
